Framework

Framework

The Operational Excellence Framework is the first fully-integrated and comprehensive framework of knowledge, expertise and tools for the realization of operational excellence. It has been developed through years of practical experience in various industries and was modeled in such a way as to be applicable to new problems in matters of reliability management. It can be used either as a total framework or as separate components for parts of an organization where reliability needs to be established or restored.

Operational excellence means reliability. Achieving operational excellence in an organization requires a comprehensive approach at four levels.

Directing: inspiring the organisation to choose reliability as a corporate identity.
Equipping / providing: providing the organization with the structures and means that are necessary to become trustworthy by structuring the building block of operational excellence
Implementing: the link with daily operational processes that deliver high reliable results for the customer.
Anchoring: providing the anchor that enables the organization to manage the consolidation of the achieved / desired levels of trustworthiness/reliability.

Vision gives new meaning to operational excellence in the organisation

The strategic link translates this meaning into consequences on a tactical level.

On a tactical level, the Framework offers the five building blocks  of operational excellence with their respective models of equipment

The operational link translates the building blocks into consequences for the equipment of the organisation at operational level

The Interactive Implementation Method Plan BII achieves operational excellence by combining the framework with a powerful implementation program based on modern change management methods to anchor it down

The Operations Management Method (OMM) ensures a lasting anchoring of the results into the organisation

Finally, the Framework offers the complete range of instruments / tools necessary to achieve  / effect operational excellence, from vision up to anchoring it down. To achieve this we have combined all the effective tools and instruments we used in the last seven years of practical assignments and linked them in the framework. This includes the operational excellence scan, tools, examples, formats, cases, workshops, pdca library, archetypes, dashboards and practical solutions.
